March Favorites

Hello everyone, yes it is that time of the month again! Can you believe we are already at the end of march? It feels like I'm still full from my Christmas dinner! So this month has been a very calm month for me (apart from my birthday). So much so that I actually got myself back into yoga yay!! I love yoga I find it so calm and relaxing and also you don't have to really make yourself look pretty, which ever now and then is a god sent.

So because of me getting back into yoga I have practically been living in workout gear, I mean it is all so comfortable so why not? I have especially been loving these two items from Sweaty Betty which is there all in one jumpsuit and the 'Lean mean running machine' tank top. The jumpsuit I actually could wear every day of my life, it is so comfortable and so versatile I love it. Another sporty thing I have been loving is Adidas's Pure boost trainers, these are specially made for training so they are perfect for when you want to do yoga outside as I find that they are really flexible for when you want to do down dog etc.

Now onto the beauty side of things, this month I have been loving Laura  Mercier's creme smooth foundation. This is actually the first foundation I have ever bought that I haven't had to put any white in it to make it pale enough for me. So if like me you look like Casper the ghost then I definitely recommend this! As well as getting back into yoga I also started to get back into the obsession that I had a few years back of getting my hair completely white. Don't ask me why but sometimes I do go through this phase. So I have been using Pro:voke's Touch of silver purple shampoo almost daily. Within the fist wash, you automatically see a difference of at least two shades. It's just genius.

Lastly is actually one of my birthdays presents that I have been loving and it is Lime Crime's Velvet lipstick in pink velvet. I am absolutely obsessed with it! I never actually got around to trying Lime Crime as when I started hearing about I also use to hear a lot of horror stories about their online shop and that there was a lot of fraud going on. I also at some point heard they use to put illegal ingredients in their products. I know it was probably all rubbish but I am easily scared so I didn't ever try it. But for my birthday, my mum decided to give it ago and brought me one. I haven't been able to put it down since. The colour is so pigmented and it also lasts all day. I just love it!!

Most Wanted - O.R.G Mineral Face peel

At the moment, I am absolutely obsessing over O.R.G's Mineral Face Peel and if you read my review on their oxygen cleanser you will know how much I love all things made by O.R.G.

This is actually the first thing I saw them on Instagram and instantly fell in love with it. It's a feel that you put on and rub off that you can use daily before you put your makeup on. It helps it look smoother and less caked on. So if you ever want to do pop me on in the post ;)

5 beauty myths

I was recently discussing beauty myths with one of my dearest friends and couldn't believe how many they actually believed in. So I thought I would share with you guys how many beauty tips and tricks that are 100% false.

1. You will outgrow acne. No, you will not, This is a big fat lie. You can also develop acne as an adult even though not having it at all as a teenager.

2. You can get rid of blackheads by using a scrub. The only way you can truely get rid of black heads is by steaming your face and then using a tool. You can do this yourself or a proffesinal can do it.

3. Dont put oil on oily skin. For this it is the total opposite the only way to clean oil is actually with oil. So if you do have oily skin the best cleanser you can use is infact an oily one.

4. If you exsersise your face you wont get wrinkles. Do I need to even say why this is absolute rubbish?

5. The only way a product will work is if you use the whole range. Absolutly not, If you like the range then go for it. But you do not need to buy everything in it. This is simply a way for you to buy more of the brands products.

Tips for Acne Sufferers

One thing growing up with acne is I always felt like there was too much advice. I know that it sounds weird but there was always so many people telling me so many things that always contradicted each other. So I thought I would share the things that I have tried and tested and really helped me.

Tieing your hair up
It is such a small thing but my god it made a difference, keeping the hair off your face prevents the grease in your hair going onto your skin making spots even if you have just washed it. Also, if you have a fringe try and keep it off your skin for a bit, or until you skin is cleared up.

Moisturiser for days
Believe me, when I say the more moisturiser you put on your face the better. In some cases, people actually get spots because your skin in actually dehydrated and to hydrate itself your skin produces more oil and in turn makes more spots. So try and moisturise as much as possible.

Don't be afraid to talk to a doctor
If you feel your skin is really bad and you are getting to the point of thinking there is no cure don't be afraid to talk to someone about it. They won't turn you away or prescribe you with billions of pills but they will help with everything they can to help you.

Don't be fooled by overnight fixes
No matter what people say or how amazing it would be. But there are no overnight fixes for acne. It has nothing to do with the spots you currently have on your face it is a hormone that needs basically teaching to behave.

It's not because you have eaten too much fast food
Lots of people actually think that acne is from eating too much McDonalds. But it has nothing to do with that at all. If you adapted your diet to healthier food then yes you would see your skin clear up a bit, but you will still have acne. As I said before it is a hormone condition.

Product Review - Eylure Brow crayon

Another product review! How proud of me are you all? So this is quite an old product although only recently stocked where I live (Thanks, M&S). So I thought I would give it a quick review for all of you out there who like me have never tried Eylure before.

So the very first thing I noticed is basically the whole range is idiot proof. I mean the have stencils they have lashes that are on a stick they just have everything that people struggle with sorted. I did see the actual launch hype about it a few years ago but didn't actually realise how easy it all is. So after much debate of what I wanted to get I decided on getting the Brow Crayon in Mid Brown as I like my eyebrows to be really dark (don't ask why).

I apologize but this picture actually shows Dark brown. Sorry.

The very first thing I noticed with it that I wasn't too happy about was the little of product there actually is. The actual crayon once wound up, is about half of the top bit of the entire pen. But I will say that the pigmentation of the crayon is brilliant, I didn't find the colour to be weak at all and would actually need a lot of blending once applied. It also is really smudge proof and dries really quick although that does mean that if you do want to blend it you need to blend it straight after you have applied it.

How I got into Tarot Cards - Psychic Sundays

Growing up I was actually told to stay well away from tarot cards, I was told that they were unlucky and I would get some demon through them. Because of that I actually never even touched a card until I was 14 which in the tarot community is very rare, most people are already doing readings by the age of 7. I think because I had never got a chance to see tarot I never really explored my spiritual side as well as I could have, which I am definitely making up for now!

When I was about 13 my nan died, she was and still to this day is my hero and best friend. So when she died I definitely took it very hard, as did my whole family. So we started looking into other ways of contacting her, It was then a year later, we started looking into tarot. As a family it was something we needed at the time, at the beginning it was to comfort us is knowing my nan was okay but then as home life got a bit rocky was a way of knowing it was all going to turn out ok. I had been told numerous times during my readings that I had a gift and that I could If I chose to do tarot. So when I was about 14 my mum took me to a course for it, after many months of me begging!  Within the first 10 minutes it was very clear that it was what I was meant to be doing. I didn't (and still haven't) say one wrong thing about someone's past or future.

I get asked a lot "Can you teach me how to do it?" and I can tell you this now, it is not somthing that can be taught. Sure I can teach you the spreads, what the cards mean ect. But that is not what a Tarot card reader is. They are a person whos sole purpose on this planet is to help people at whatever cost and are well aware of that and accept it with all their heart.

How to start a blog - Quick post

One thing that still to this day absolutely amazes me is how many people out there would love to blog, I can't tell you how many people I know that say to me "I wish I could blog, I would absolutely love it!" and when I say to them why don't you? Their reply is ALWAYS "My life is so boring that no one would want to read about it.". I find that absolutely ridiculous! Do people think that I jump out of planes every day? My life is just as boring as all of yours, I get up have to breakfast and then sit at my computer to write all day until bed time. I wouldn't say that is particularly exciting. People don't read blogs to hear what you do in your day to day life, they want to hear your opinions on things and how you do them.

So my advice to the people who want to start a blog but don't. Just go for it! What have you honestly got to loose? It takes about an hour to actually set up the blog and then all you have to do is write. I know a lot of people think they have to have a theme for their blog but you don't have to at all. Your blog is anything you want it to be. It should reflect who you are and what you want. So if you want to have a blog about socks and occasionally put the odd bit of cooking in there, go for it. I would love to see all of your blogs so do tweet me the link to it and I will check it out!!

My Skin All Stars

Today's post is one of my favorite posts to every share with you guys. I get asked basically on a daily basis what my absolute staple skin care products are and I thought it was about time I shared them. I have been using some of these since I was about 12 and have never been able to find anything as good as them to replace, I mean you know what the say "If it ain't broke don't fix it.".

This first one is definitely something I recommend to everyone I meet, I have made my entire family convert to using to it. It is the SkinCeuticals B5 Serum If you read my February favorites you actually would have seen this in it. I absolutely love this stuff any my skin basically drinks it. So this is absolutely brilliant if like me you are prone to spots, it is 100% oil free so won't clog up your pores thus making more spots.

Next up is actually a moisturiser I have been using since the age of 12 and is Eminence's Pink Grape fruit-C Gel. This is without a doubt the best night time moisturiser I have ever used in my life. It is brilliant at soothing your skin and giving it all the nutrients it has been deprived of during the day. It also smells INCREDIBLE. Like you don't understand.

Last but not least is Monu's Hawaii facial oil. This is one of those products that no matter what I always have on me. It is great for your hands, elbows and knees as well as your face. I tend to use this on those no makeup days and reapply it all day. For me it's like putting a conditioner on your hair overnight, it just makes you skin feel like a different person skin. It basically brings it back to the beginning and erases everything you have done to it.

When you no longer need a crystal. - Psychic Sundays

Hello everyone, this week Psychic Sunday has a bit of a peculiar subject. It's all about when a crystal you have brought or even found feels they no longer can give you what you need or you don't need them anymore. To give you an example I don't know if you can see in some of my Instagram pictures but for the last year, I have been wearing three protection bracelets on my left arm (two beaded and one crystal bangle). All three held a very special place in my heart ad I got all of them the day I went to Psychic Sisters the day after my really bad haunting (post here) so to me they were something I depended on to keep me sane.

So you can imagine how much I freaked out after getting out the shower and putting on one of my beaded bracelets and having it snap. I actually almost cried. But I am an adult and did have to go to work so I got on with my day without it and realised that nothing bad had happened and that I didn't need it. I know what you are all probably thinking "of corse you don't need it, it's only a bracelet" don't get me wrong I totally know where you are coming from but I believe that it does work and everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

But it reminded my of what one of my friends told me "The crystals always know when you don't need them anymore" and I think they showed me just that.

Random look into my life - My Outlander Obsession

I have a new series!! It came to my realization late last night whilst I was in bed that although you guys know a lot about my beauty life and the opinions I have on everything to do with beauty. But you don't really know who I am as a person, which is what this blog is for, for you guys to know everything about me. So today I thought I would share with you all my obsession this week. Which is in fact all about the Amazon Prime program outlander. Yes, you read it right, I am absolutely obsessed with it! Although it does weird me out that the lead character I am in love with is called Jamie and so is my older brother...

I won't get to much into what the programme is all about as I really want you guys to watch it. Fo all of you who are like me and obsessed with hopelessly romantic programmes then you will love it as much as I do. So please do watch it and then we can all fangirl about it on my twitter...yes?

Product Review - O.R.G Oxygen Cleanser

Remember when I did Product reviews? I realise I haven't actually done a review in god knows how long and my pile of 'To-review' has gotten so high that it was about time I did something about it.

So this product I actually bought by mistake, I wanted to buy the facial peel that O.R.G do but got confused on the website and brought the cleanser instead. Woops. But I do not regret a thing (although I do really wish I owned that peel). I'm sure if you read my last post you will know that I have extremely sensitive skin which for me makes it a nightmare to find skincare that doesn't irritate my skin.

Luckily for me, this cleanser has been brilliant and is actually really helping to soothe it and prevent redness. The reason being that this cleanser is in fact so great for sensitive skin is that is it Alcohol, paraben and petroleum free, which basically means that it doesn't have all that rubbish in it that leaves your skin feeling tight and itchy.

It's also one of the lightest cleansers I have ever tried instead of feeling like a really thick soap it feels a lot more like a serum. It also spreads like one as well all that is really needed it two pumps on your whole face, you rub it in, leave it for 5 seconds then wash off. It is that easy.

beauty brands for sensitive skin

One thing that I personally think that a lot more people suffer from than people think is sensitive skin. I know a lot of people who actually think it is totally normal to have red skin after they take their makeup off or even have it feel tingly during the day. I can tell you this with great confidence if this happens to you, you have sensitive skin. If you still don't believe that you do or you need more convincing have a look at the typical symptoms of sensitive skin.

"Taut and itchy skin,Burning and stinging, Blushing and flushing, sometimes accompanied by tiny red pimples,Scaly, rough patches on the skin,Eye-area redness, puffiness, and wrinkles that look like they've appeared overnight,Small red bumps (not pimples) on your face that may itch."

When looking for specific products for sensitive skin do make sure you actually read what your buying as there are no actual guidelines for what is actually a 'sensitive skin product'. The things you want to look out for are a product containing few or no fragrances as they play a key part in the irritation of your skin. Also, look for products containing as little ingredients as possible, this is basically self-explanatory as the few ingredients the few things you have to be sensitive to.

My favorite sensitive skin beauty brands

I think Simple is one of the most well-known sensitive brands out there. Mainly because the products don't really have a lot of ingredients in them. They are a great brand that truly believe in not putting any artificial colouring or fragrances in their products. Which is something that I think a lot of brands need to be doing. They also believe in 'simplicity' your beauty regime. With every range, they do either having 3 or 4 products in them.

I know lush are a bit hit and miss sometimes but quite a lot of their products are actually brilliant for sensitive skin. The only thing I will say is to stay clear of any brightly coloured bath bombs as they do use artificial colouring for them and trust me if you have skin like me then you will get a reaction.

Charlotte Tilbury is without a doubt the most underrated sensitive makeup and skincare brands out there. Not only does she stay clear of fragrancing all her creams are made with pure plant extracts with very few (in some cases none) chemical ingredients. No wonder the stars like Beyonce and Kate moss love it!

My Worst Haunting - Psychic Sundays

Yes, that is the title of today's post. I have in fact been haunted a few times, as a clairvoyant, it happens a lot. But there was this one instance that I will definitely not forget and without a doubt changed my life forever.

So to start with this story you need a bit of background, it all happened about 2-3 years ago just after my parents split up. Myself and my family apart from my father moved out our family home and into a little bungalow just around the corner from my school at the time. The bungalow itself was a stunning modern bungalow, It was one of those houses that whenever anyone come to our front door they were is awe. It was so modern in fact that we were the first people to live in the newly done bungalow. (it was originally a car showroom that they had added a few more rooms too). The floor plan was a bit of a strange one, on one side of the house was my mum and sisters rooms along with the office and lounge (this was the newly built side) then on the completely other side of it was my room and my brothers room (the original side).

Mine and my brothers side of the bungalow was always a bit off. to start with our dog Sash who we had taken with us when we moved would never go to our side. Ever. It was like there was some invisible line that she could never cross. It was also incredibly cold on our side even though the boiler was opposite both our doors. But it was a new build which is what we always said to ourselves. For the first few months, everything was fine and we were thoroughly enjoying ourselves in our new home and getting used to our new life.

After about 5 months of living there, it then started to get weird. It began with the knocking, you would hear it all day and night on different windows through the house. Again we waved this off to it being a new house and it 'Settling'. But when I use to sit in bed and hear footsteps above me that did freak me out as there was only one floor to the house with no attic. I found that it was mainly over my bedroom the footsteps liked to be. I can tell you without a doubt it was not a bird or anything to that degree as it sounded like big heavy boots and we did actually go onto the roof to check one time to only see nothing. It was after that we realised that is was not just simply the house 'settling' and was probably something very different.

After the footsteps became a daily thing then the bad stuff started to happen (all to me obviously). I knew it was about to become bad when I got home  one day from school to find black handprints all over the walls in my room then after going to show my mum they disappeared, that then happened another 4 times. I then would be sitting in my room and my curtains would be pulled down, each hook one by one. I actually once caught that on film but then after watching it once I couldn't find the file again.

I think after the curtains being pulled down it then started to get violent. Every night I would have my duvet pulled off me and then I would feel hands grabbing my feet and be pulled to the floor. This happened every night without fail. After a few weeks of that (bearing mind I never told anyone this was happening) my mum started having dreams about me being choked in my sleep with my own hair. Which she has always been a bit scared of as I sleep with my hair up and with the length of my hair it is actually possible. She then told me about the dream to which I laughed and told her to stop worrying. The next morning I woke up with my hair tied around my neck using the end of my hair as a bow.

Obviously, after untieing it I ran out to go tell my mum, who then decided it probably wasn't the best idea that I sleep in that room again and instead to sleep in the room I was using as a wardrobe (my room was too small to fit a wardrobe in). I agreed and then went to go have a bath. It was then it got worse. After getting in the bath I washed my hair and started shaving my legs. It was then I noticed the bath turn red, Obviously as I was shaving my legs my immediate thought being that I had cut myself. After checking both my legs, even the one I hadn't shaved, I started feeling like my back was burning. Luckily I was all done in the bath and got out to see if II could locate the blood. After not seeing anything and getting changed the burning got a lot worse so much so that I thought it was on fire at one point. So whats the first thing you do when you are in pain? You go find your mum of course. She told me to turn around and lifted up my top and then practically screamed and said "What and earth have you done?! Did you fall over or something?" I then told her I hadn't and asked if it was still bleeding. She then told be not it was completely healed and there was no sign of any blood being there. Luckily instead of describing it my lovely sister took a picture of it for me.

Do ignore any back fat!
Straight after taking this picture we actually phoned up my then future place of work Psychic Sisters and asked them what to do. They then told us that I should go up and see them. I wont tell you everything that happened in that reading as I am a believer that it is a very personal thing to have done. But they did tell me that I should not go back to that house at all, which luckily me and my entire family agreed. I then went to go stay at my grandad's house as we were moving there any way in a few weeks.
Now this is when the story gets very boring, unfortunately not like a horror movie nothing really happened after that. The only thing I would say is that it 100% changed my view on life and helped me to decide if I wanted to open the clairvoyance side of me. The 'Ghost' that was in the house did not follow me at all and without a doubt is still in fact at the house, I don't think it was a personal thing I think that it thought that we were introducing into their house. Especially my room. The only weird thing that happened after is when my family went back to go and pack my room up. According to my sister, everyone was sitting on my floor with the fan on my mum then asked my sister to go turn it off so they could pack it away. She then went over and couldn't turn it off she looked for the plug to turn it off there only to find it not plugged in. I can safely say that they finished packing fast and then threw the fan in the bin.

Beauty Sponges are better than the dreaded white wedge - Quick rant

We have all seen the rise and rise of the beauty blender in the past few years. People are now seeing it as the revolution of blending makeup with a sponge. But I think people forget that we have been using sponges for years and years to blend makeup its just no one got the right recipe for the sponge itself, for years we went through the harsh white sponges trying to blend with them to only get more lines added to the skin. But I do not judge I mean the white sponge does have some uses (in the bin is my favourite). I know this is really short but I really needed to say that as I know a few people reading this needed to hear it.

What my Nails are wearing

This week I am wearing a lot of colours. To many to name actually. So thease are all in gel and believe it or not this actually took 3 hours to do. All gems and the skull are from Nails Inc.
